Everyone keeps telling me I need to register with the government, pay taxes, open a separate bank account, and write up formal contracts before I even take a single client. Is that really how it works in real life? Feels like a lot of upfront work for something I am not even sure will take off yet. Did most people actually do all that stuff right away or did they just start working and figure out the legal side later when money started coming in?
