About HSMN's Internships
The Hindu Society of Minnesota offers an exciting internship program for high school and college students who are interested in gaining valuable experience in the non-profit sector. Our program provides a variety of opportunities across multiple organizational units, including administration, outreach, event planning, and more. Interns will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals, learn about the organization's mission and values, and develop important skills that will benefit them in their future careers. The program is designed to be flexible, with remote or hybrid work options available depending on the operating unit's needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are passionate about making a difference in their community and are looking to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector.
Availability
Must be available to commit to working 10-15 hours per week as a part-time intern.
Environment
Must be able to work remotely or in a hybrid work environment.
Duration
Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of two semesters in the program.
Attitude
Must be willing to learn and take on new challenges.
Education
High school or university students are eligible to apply.
Technology
Should have a reliable internet connection and access to necessary technology.
Application Process

Applicants need to send an email to vicepresident@hsmn.org to apply for the internship program.
Required Documentation
Applicants must include the following documents with their email submission:

A current resume that includes their education, work experience, and any relevant skills or achievements.

A cover letter/essay that explains why they are interested in an HSMN internship, their interest area, and how they believe their skills and experience align with the organization's mission and values.

Year and Name of School: Applicants must mention their current year and the name of the school they are attending.

Extracurricular Activities: Applicants should also mention any extracurricular activities they are involved in, as well as any leadership roles they have held.

Submission Deadline: The applicants are considered on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Response Time: Applicants will receive an email confirmation upon receipt of their application. If selected, they will be contacted for an interview.
