About Diwali Mela
A Mela is a traditional Indian fair — a lively gathering where people come together to celebrate, socialize, and enjoy food, music, and culture. Rooted in centuries-old tradition, melas serve as vibrant community events filled with joy, color, and togetherness.
Our Diwali Mela celebrates Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights — one of the most cherished and widely celebrated festivals in India and around the world. Diwali marks the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Spiritually, it commemorates Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after defeating the demon king Ravana, symbolizing the renewal of hope and the triumph of goodness. Families light diyas (lamps), decorate their homes, exchange sweets, and pray for happiness and prosperity.

This year’s event will bring together the community for an evening filled with colorful lights, cultural performances, festive music, and delicious food.
